Vigil remembers man killed in Church Hill

RICHMOND, Va. Friends, family and community members gathered Sunday evening to honor the life of a man killed in Richmondâs Church Hill last weekend.
Albert A.J. Harvey Jr. was fatally shot around 1:10 p.m. on North 30th Street Sunday, April 11.
Police said Harvey was down and unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound when they arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond police continue to search for answers in the 1990 disappearance of Jamal Abdul-Faruq.
Jamal was 9 years old when he went missing from near his home in the McGuire Manor neighborhood on April 16, 1990.
RPD said Jamal and his brother both went missing at the time, but his brother was found dead a short time later.
Jamal would be 40 years old now, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has age-progressed his photo above.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Two men face multiple charges - including murder - in the February death of a man.
Police were called to the 400 block of Byswick Lane around 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 for the report of an assault.
When they arrived, they found Maurice Watson-Bey, a man in his 40s, inside a home “suffering from trauma.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting in Richmond that happened in March.
Officers were called on March 1 to the 2200 block of N 26th Street around 2:30 p.m. for a shooting. When officers arrived, a man was found dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as Corey Holmes, a man in his 30s.
Police have arrested and charged Quentin Gray, 31, of Charlottesville, with murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
RPD investigate two deadly shootings in the Northside

RICHMOND, Va. Detectives have arrested a man they say killed a woman near a park on Richmond s Northside last week.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Wickham Street near Battery Park for a report of random gunfire just before 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
When officers arrived, they found Ashley Wilbert, a woman in her 20s, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, down and unresponsive in the alley, according to investigators.
Police said Wilbert was pronounced dead at the scene.
